The Genius Of Tim Smith

Maverick? Lunatic? Or Genius. The Latter, definitely.

Tim Smith sadly passed away in July 2020 following a decade of debilitating illness. A huge loss to the musical landscape, but my did we have some fun! I celebrated one of the finest musical people to have ever walked the earth with a Genius series back in in 2014/5. Here are the songs I featured with links to the original articles.

  1. Thank you for linking to all these articles, I shall enjoy re-reading them. Tim Smith was certainly a musical genius and responsible for some of the most amazing, uplifting, extraordinary, strange, unsettling, unique, challenging, beautiful music it has been my pleasure to listen to. Despite his recent condition, a small part of me hoped he could recover sufficiently to work on the LSD album, but now that is obviously not to be. Still, the music he has left will more than keep me going for the rest of my life.
