Support: Dr. Phibes And The House Of Wax Equations
For years I couldn't remember or find who supported AAE at this show, but a search in 2026 finally yielded the answer. Thinking about it, I ought to have remembered. Dr. Phibes & The House Of Wax Equations were an excellent psychedelic band who had a couple of not-quite hits in Hazy Lazy Hologram and the brilliant Sugarblast. I have a very vague memory of seeing and enjoying them, so it must have been at this show.
As for All About Eve, they were great again, as they were the last time I'd seen them, though their new guitarist had taken them in a more rocky, less folky direction. I remember being at the very front, elbows on the stage, and during one of his frenetic moments of flinging his guitar around, it hit me on my elbow!
