FIRST AID KIT
St. David's Hall, Cardiff - 15th January 2015
Support: Kimberley Anne

The first time I saw them a few months before, First Aid Kit took my breath away with their show in Bristol. This time around, as brilliantly wonderful as they were once again, the thrill was somewhat diluted. I guess seeing them play much the same set in a slightly inferior venue explains it a little. The audience seemed rather shy and subdued too for some reason. Not disappointing by any means, but I might wait a while before seeing them again.

Supporting was Kimberley Anne from Croydon. She was good, but the real talking point - other than her awesome hair - was her ingenious marketing gimmick. As well as selling her EPs at the merch stand, she was giving away teabags which included a code attached for a free download. Very clever.

And here's the Söderberg sisters playing one of my all-time favourite songs to the legend it's named after!
